Savisky selected as PBC’s Specialist of the Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College sophomore setter Tara Savisky was selected as the Peach Belt Conference's Specialist of the Week for the period ending Nov. 13, as released by conference officials today.

She received the same honor on Sept. 27.

Savisky averaged 13.00 assists per set as the Saints went 3-0 to capture a share of the PBC regular-season championship. The sophomore setter from Oakdale, Pa., had a .417 assist percentage and 143 total assists. She opened with a season-high 58 assists in a 3-1 win over Francis Marion, that's the second-highest assist total in any PBC match this season. She had 38 in a sweep of UNC Pembroke and then added 47 with 13 digs against Augusta; her team-leading 13th double-double of the year. For the week she averaged 2.36 digs per set and added four kills and three aces. Savisky is currently third in the PBC in total assists and assists per set. 

Savisky and the Saints will open the PBC Tournament on Friday (Nov. 18) at 10 a.m. against Columbus State University at the Centennial Center in Milledgeville, Georgia.
